Silly Putty... Who needs kids?

So I thought this was way to funny I just had to share.. Jake likes playing with silly putty he usually rediscovers it around christmas time. So he decided to mold it to the remote yah um as you can see it didn't all come off . Oh and his response to me when I saw what happened... I've done this before and it never stuck silly putty isn't suppose to haha oh Jake. This is from a week ago and the silly putty is still stuck on the remote :)

Its the best time of the year!

So we've had a little christmas fun the last couple weekends. We put our christmas tree up a few weekend ago always fun!

Yes Jake wrapped those red and gold presents with the bows today.. He did a great job and have come a long way from newspaper and duck tape ( which is what my first present from him came in :) )

We had some fun making Gingerbread houses but did not realize how difficult they are actually to make and to make cute ha. So I now have a new appreciation for the Gingerbread houses you see at Festival of Trees.. 

Not gonna Lie Jakes gingerbread house ^ scares me a little bit something about it...

Just Being Goofy

So can I just say my husband is hilarious. Every day something new I love it :) So this is actually from a few weeks ago but I was feeling down and I was at the store with him getting all the ingredients for a perfect relaxing evening and I was getting a face mask and jakes like hey get 2 of those I think I'm going to try it Ha. So anyways to make the story short he tries to back out of it saying he was kidding ah whatever I told him no way and so of course he put the mask on :) I love it.

Our 1st Thanksgiving alone

So our 1st thanksgiving turned out well and I have to say the food was really great! The only thing that didn't really turn out for were the sweet potatoes. But thats ok considering everything we made was a 1st for us. We had a ton of fun learning how to make all new things together and spending thanksgiving together. I was also very impressed on how well jake did on his very first turkey and proud of him for not throwing up while taking the guts out haha cause I know I would have. 

Another Project... This time the master bathroom!

So I was going to wait and do my bathroom when we get a new bedroom set cause we still just have what was in jakes room before we got married. But  I decided its probably going to be a long time before we get all new stuff ahhh oh well :).  But since I love love love bubble baths and just relaxing and I love paint it just makes a room more relaxing and inviting I decided to go ahead and paint our bathroom. Now the color hmmm I was debating between a few the 2 of them are on the wall in this pic blue and green I was also thinking a red .. The decorations are going to be black and white hmmmm.  Descisions Descisions

Sad Story

So I heard this story last night and I was sad/upset/amused at what little kids think. But Just a little background I have an Aunt that has 6 kids ages from 9,7,5,4,2,1  all very young. So the oldest was at school and the teacher was talking about who they want to be president and of course everyone was saying Obama. Then Michael got up and said do you know what he stands for he thinks its ok to kill babies and for guys and guys to get married ( crazy he got up and said that / knows that at 9 yrs old). So he went home and told his mom that and of course all the little kids were there and she had to explain to them what abortion was how sad is that! Then when they found about Obama won the 4 year old looks at his mom and says with a concerned look does this mean your going to kill your baby. How sad is that! Which by the way the baby of course is 1 yrs old she's not prego. But crazy what kids think. Oh and then the 5 yr old is really worried and thinks everything is going to be ruined cause Obama is going to be president I'm sure he gets that from his parents/ hearing that he thinks its ok to kill babies um a lil scary for kids. But this story just really made me think about how sad it is and how much things have changed and kids should  be asking where do babies come from not how do mommies kill their babies. Pathetic.

Hanging out at the Zoo

So we got to hang out at the Zoo this weekend. I love the zoo and I love wild animals! I just don't like animals in my house.  But this was a lot of fun I have to admit I was kind of sad the areas a lot of these animals were in seemed so small and there were those just all by themselves so sad. 

These Gorillas just keep looking at us like they were annoyed. I would be to if i was all alone and stuck in a small area with people staring at you all day could you imagine! He didn't even have privacy to pick his nose and eat his booger haha which yes he did it was pretty funny.

This lion was roaring after we were there for a min it was pretty cool it looked like he was barely moving/roaring and it was so loud! Very cool.

Stephs Bridal Shower

So this weekend was my sisters bridal shower in Minersville, Ut at my Aunt Connies house.  This was actually a princess theme shower... I was not expecting people to be dressed up in costume ha! But it was fun and the lil girls were cute oh and don't ask me what princess my cousin was suppose to be in the graduation outfit she's such a goof y girl.

Um yeah my sister was a little to comfortable posing in one of her gifts haha... she even put her leg up on the table for one of them! I was very shocked. 

3rd Year Anniversary!

So yesterday was our 3rd Year Anniversary! Crazy how time flies! So for our anniversaries so far we've been following the list of traditional gifts you give each year. This year was leather... yeah not a fan of leather honestly... least I didn't think I was. So I got Jake his first and hopefully only cowboy/work boots haha. He keep saying he wanted some in his half kidding half serious kind of way. But since we live in Justin there are boots that are Justin Boots and there suppose to be really good boots and know ones I guess and of course there just happens to be an outlet for them in this small town. But I'm personally a fan of cowboys I just don't want him turning into one :) But I have to say he looks pretty hot in them:) 

So Jake out did himself this year. He got me a really cute coach bag which never in a million yrs would I spend that much money on a single item for myself. But I'll take it when I get it for sure!
and he got me these flowers and had them sent to work oh and a singing duck haha way way to loud that sings you are my sunshine apparently I sing that alot haha. 

But since Jake had to go to school / work on tuesday Friday before I leave for the weekend he has something planned who knows what.. and afterwards as always exchanging out gifts for the right size or color( I just wear a lot more brown ) or shape apparently he doesn't want the cowboy boots to be to pointy :) Its the thought that counts!

Jakes Nachos

So when Jake come homes from school he usually decides to make nachos. We're not talking just some chips and nacho cheese. Jake is a lil bit of a ummmm perfectionist incase no one knew.  He'll take forever in making sure the chips are laid out perfectly ..doing this one by one. Then he will grate each strain of cheese and place it over the nachos one by one. Then he will continue to watch the plate of nachos the whole time they are cooking and of course he's turning the plate around. Yeah it takes him a really really long time to do it. Next time  I think i'll time it. But I was just cracking up the first time I realized what he was doing so I just thought I'd document it :) 

Guest Bathroom FINISHED!

So I actually like how the orangy color turned out.. a lil different but I like it.  It looks way orange by the door next to the mirror by the light but I just need to get lights that aren't so bright ( there's 6 of them and they are blinding in such a small bathroom). Now I need another project cause I'm bored!

What do you remember about Graduation: It was really small 51 people! I was also extremely tired I think I had a 1 hr of sleep the night before b/c I had some car trouble the night before and didn't get in town till like 4a.m then had to get up at 5ish.  

Are you planning on going to a 10 yr reunion: No I wish I had a high school that I really could go back too but since I was only at my last one for 6 mnths I'd feel kinda silly going back.

Jakes Surgery

So Jake ended up having Surgery. Everything went well besides the fact the doctor decided to let him wait 2 hrs.. poor guy I know he was starving his surgery wasn't until 3;15p.m. ... but he's not hungry now and probably wont be until tomorrow! But he's doing well just sleepy and of course he trys to be sarcastic with the Nurse when he's waking up .. yeah they don't take that very well when they say to just drink clear liquids and he says ok so vodkas fine haha what a funny guy. He was also messing with the Nurse because he has a bad habit when he's waking up of holding his breath after he was awake  he just keep doing and doing it and he would see how long he could do it for to have the nurse tell him to breath again what a punk. But I love him and I'm glad he's ok! Oh and good news I didn't force this on him I just suggested it and told him I wasn't going to ask him to get rid of his bike. But I was going to ask him to consider selling his truck and buying a car for better gas mileage and then to keep his bike for a hobby / hang out with his buddies. Well yesterday he told me he was going to put his truck up for sell yah! Is argument for saving money with gas doesn't work anymore specially when I see the rest of our bill for the surgery!

Haha me .. give me a break I just took a nap and had a long day with humidity and hanging out in the emergency room most the day.
Our favorite room.. the Living Room.. such a mess and yet another project not finished and wont be for umm another 2 mnths at the min. I don't know how long his cast will be on for.
The sink: Yeah I actually just cleaned some stuff out of the fridge... a lil late that casserole dish used to have the grossist moldy stuff I've ever seen the whole thing looked like minnie cotton balls it was nasty hahaha sure you wanted to know that.
My pantry: very crazy We need to put wider shelves in they can't hold as much as I would like in an organized way!

Laundry room: This was a hard pic to take cause its in the pantry room as well.. Jake calls these Space Ships :)

Poor Jake

So Jake got in a motorcycle accident on the way to work this morning. He fractured his arm in a few places and gets to have surgery on Monday! Stupid Semi trucks not paying attention him he didn't even noticed him he just keep on goin. It was kind of crazy that it happened this morning I've always had a fear of leaving the house angry or letting someone leave the house angry cause you never know if they'll get in a accident. Well today for the first time ever! I left the house angry and I even thought ah I should go back in cause what if he gets in a accident.. I got to work and he calls me and tells me and I thought he was kidding! ha.... lesson learned.

Guest Bathroom

This is my new project ... hopefully I'll finish it ( I have 2 others that are still in progress). But I'm going out on a limb with this one I'm so afraid of doing color on the wall I always pick neutral ones so we'll see how it turns out!

Baby Ryker

We got to meet Ryker while we were in Utah I was so excited and he was so cute! Can you believe it Jake was holding him ( He actually likes holding babys once in a while unless someone makes a threat that they may puke :) )

Jake and his Utah Favorites

First there is Apollo Burger.... We went there twice on our trip. No matter what he does and no matter how many burger places we try here in Texas we just can't find / make a good enough burger. Oh and we went here within 15 mins of being back in utah. 

Eating our first good breakfast in a Long time!... Their scones are so HUGE and sooo good.  If you know jake he loves food but he really LOVES breakfast food ( poor guy I'm not a fan of breakfast)
Ahhh La Fronteria we can't find a mexican place to replace it ... everything here is what they call tex mex and taste like crap.

Jake on the First day of school! ( ok maybe 2nd but I'm sure he looked the same I wasn't here to see him leave I was busy getting a root canal! )

Leaving for School on his new toy.... I'm not a fan of motorcycles but I have to say its making him a lot of friends in the ward / street.. they do a lot of ward rides and they hang out every other sat. so at least there's something good that comes out of this bike! ( besides good gas mileage)
And still doesn't quit have a hang of the bike yet..... maybe he's just nervous with the whole me taking pictures and going to school thing...

This is where our HOA fee goes too.... just an expensive pool pass :) But its kinda nice that its only a few houses away. 

Here are some pics of the Texas Home... We're not Huge fans of the Brick but we're getting use to it put a few nice trees / bushes and it will look better.... Hopefully

So Texas is really not one of the places you want a yard.... really rough grass and so hot outside.
